Day 34, it is the 4th of July, we begin our day wishing mom a happy heavenly birthday. You are missed by all who knew you.
We are still in North Pole, AK which makes us happy that we are not packing up and traveling. I have to say traveling night after night gets old in a hurry, so to have stayed 3 nights at the North Pole is awesome!
Judi and I with our new friend Kerri took a little shopping expedition to the Christmas store. We wondered through the store and found ourselves a new sweatshirt with a frontside zipper. Of course, I don’t have a picture. We then went next door and saw the reindeer.

In the afternoon, we had a little get-together with our caravan group. Everyone was to dress up for the 4th and then a prize was given for the best dressed. We did not come close to winning, we have a few creative folks that went all out! We had games to play, have you ever played 4th of July Bingo? Well, I still do not like to play Bingo.

During the social hour our trip mascot Dawson was kidnapped from his foster family, which started a lot of fun to determine who took Dawson and where he was located. It took days for the foster family to locate him. But don’t worry, Dawson was in safe hands and was well traveled. He got to fly to Denali!
Our dinner with the group was a traditional 4th of July meal, hot dogs, hamburgers, and we had cake too.
While we were having fun, it rained pretty hard. The best part of the rain was the double rainbow that appeared.

The next day is a travel day, so after our gathering, we got our rigs semi-ready for the next day.
Stay tuned for more of our adventures…
