Ready for Winter

Saturday, September 20 was the day to prepare Tatanka for winter in Michigan. All the water lines were drained and blown out. It was time to add the very colorful pink liquid known as RV antifreeze.

This year brought a new item to winterize that I had never had to contend with, the Washing Machine! I was a little conerned on how this process would work, what do you do? You google YouTube videos, and you read the owners manual. The video provided great advice, which was to get the antifreeze into all the sink faucets first. Do the washing machine last! That is exactly what we did.

Judi was a great help, she was on the inside, and I was on the outside feeding the bottles of antifreeze as we drained on bottle and needed a full bottle. You cannot have enough antifreeze, we had about 6 jugs!

The next phase will be to get Tatanka all clean and shiny before she gets all tucked into her snuggly blanket for the winter.
