June 18 has arrived, we are now officially part of an RV Caravan group. 21 fellow caravaners, the wagon masters and the tail gunners. Total that is 23 RV’s of some type in our group. We have Class A motorhomes, Class C motorhomes both regular and Super-C’s as well as Fifth-wheels and travel trailers in our group. The motorhomes are gas or diesel rigs, some are big 45 footers, others are under 30 foot.
Early in the day, Judi and I headed into Dawson Creek, BC to get our photos with the official mile post signs that signify the start of the Alaska Mile Post roadway.

Later in the day, we have our first official meeting with our fellow caravaners, everyone gets introduced. Judi and I have been labeled as “The Sisters”, someone before they met us thought that we were actually Nuns! Now I know you are all laughing at that thought. Every time I hear this, I think of the Sisters from Waltons Mountain. As our trip goes on people think that I am Judi and she is Susi! One person argued with me about who I was. We also have Janet with us and she to was introduced to the group. We really thought that one lady on our trip would get a hoot out of Janet with us because I facebook snoop and found out she reads taro cards and such. Needless to say, she is a great person from Pennsylvania. Joy, she reminds me of your personality! We had a welcome dinner at a local hall where we received a history of the Alaska Mile Post Zero from a local.
During our intro meeting we received our Tour Package Itinerary that we live by as well as the Alaska Mile Post book.
On day 19 (Day 2 of the caravan), the group went to the Mile Post Zero for a group photo. Now I am including this photo, but it is a photo of a photo and not a great image. Day 2 was also a laundry catch up day for us as the washing machine in the motorhome is not usable until further repairs are completed. I don’t like flooding the bedroom and storage bay below.

Our travel map has been updated to include our areas of travel complete up to this point, go Tatanka go!
