I missed a little day trip that we took on Day 19, we drove to a small town called Taylor in British Columbia, this is just north of Dawson City. The visitors center is the only center on the Alaska Highway that carries the “RV2AK 2026” sticker. I of course had to have one, but I have not put it on my motorhome or my car, something to add to my collection of stickers and trinkets from our Alaska journey.
While visiting Taylor, I had to be a dork and sit int he canoe on display. This canoe was a donation by the Cameron River Logistics. We also explored the Peace River running along the south end of the town. Winnie wanted to play in the water, but her mean old mom said ‘No’!
The visitor center had a bookcase with “Take A Rock, Leave A Rock”, I happened to have a handful of rocks from Michigan that Bonnie and I collected in the Upper Peninsula, I grabbed one and left it, however, nobody will ever know where it really came from.
