Guess what? We are still in Whitehorse, YT. You never knew staying in one place for 3 nights would be so exciting. After you move day after day, you appreciate the 3 night stays.
Today, we have a group excursion to the MukTuk Adventure for a tour. This is a dog sledding rescue where they have many dogs. Some were rescued to save their lives, others were brought to the group to be a racing sled dog. They keep all their dogs, even the retired sled dogs. As our speaker, Manuela, is originally from Germany, and the person running the ranch said, some dogs are just freeloaders and have never worked a day! Beyond the dogs, they also offer canoeing and cabin stays. When their precious loved dogs pass, they take their ashes to the glass shop and have their ashes added to a glass ball much like Judi & I made. Each one is truly unique. Check out their story at https://muktuk.com

The remainder of the day was ours to do as we wanted. Since we have not been able to wash laundry in Tatanka, we found one of the local laundry mats and cleaned our clothing, towels, and sheets. Turned out to be a bit of a party as fellow RVers also showed up to do the same. FYI, laundry mats are expensive and their equipment is not the best!
Stay tuned for more adventures…
