July 13 – Homer, AK

This is a travel day from Seward, AK to Homer, AK. We are traveling 170 miles in 5.5 hours. We have to leave between 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM, and we may not check into our campsite until after 1:00 PM.

Along the way we made a couple of stops, one was not far outside of homer, you walked through a field out to basically a cliff where the ground was eroding away. Be careful to not fall down, because you most likely would need medical attention and assistance to get back to the top.

Our campsite for the next couple of days is on the Homer Spit, we have waterfront views! You cannot complain about this campground! You can walk right out to the water, just depends upon the tide how far you have to walk.

For the most part, we setup camp and just admired our surroundings for the day.
